it's basically the same engine as the 05 RSX-S. The only main difference is the SI has a balanced shaft.

If you look at the performance gains on the type S, you'll see a wide range of numbers. People running turbos and hondata (ecu reflash) are well into the high 300's at the wheels. I know there are others well above that too.

The main struggle for the tuners could be drive by wire (on the new SI), but I'm sure people will work around it.

All the other civics that are currently out don't have the same engine, so they can't really comment on problems. I think the first person to take delivery of the new Si is at the end of December, so we'll see soon.
