Sorry, no update on mods this time, but I finally got some good pictures of my car with the sidemarkers as well as a new air freshener. Just felt like sharing:

wow, looks better than i thought it would. nice job.

the jdm civic doesn't have side markers either, right?

shglbmx :
"how are you going to have them blink? same time as front signals or alternating?"

i think it looks best synched with the other signals.

i loved them on my ep3, but i kinda dig the cleaness of the fg2 w/out them. but this looks good. i probably won't do it though.

however, i'd like to mod the side mirrors to have a turn signal light like the gti has. does anybody know where i can get those for the fg2? would i need a different mirror housing?
sorry, i don't mean to hi-jack the thread. noob...

JDM sidemarkers, woooo.

Best mod ever.

For the side mirrors, you need an aftermarket mirror such as TYC that will be carrying them in a few months.

then after that, you will have a blast trying to wire them up :)

thanks, i don't really know anything about it. couldn't a good body shop do the install?
but could you still make the power mirror controls work too?

i was thinking from a DIY point of view and keeping money expense down to a minimum.

They sell those mirrors you are talking about, its JDM and folds in, but its for sedan version
http://www.passwordjdm.com/product.a...For=&PT_ID=477

Now, to me, this is like a piece of cake to wire up and install. But if you are willing to spend $$$ at a shop for them to DIY it, you might as well get an aftermarket mirror with the turn signal light and install it yourself.

hey man thanks for the link. but i didn't know they would cost that much
hopefully something will be released here for less, but then again these have jdm bragging rights.

i'm a newb to diy, but if it's something i'm capable of doing, i would definitely diy. so if you think it's easy, i'd be down to try. of course i'd still take them to be pro painted. but then if i'm at a body shop anyway, maybe it's worth it for them to do it ... correctly...lol. no but you're right, it looks like they just plug in. i wonder where the button would be for power folding, or is that a sedan feature already?

if they fold in and are for the sedan, will they fit on a coupe? we have a different housing right? they have almost a pillar, where are coupe is almost "molded" into the door.

btw, i think that's a significant design flaw, that are mirros don't fold in. i mean it's a civic (= city) and is a wider car than than the ep 4sure. luckily i have a garage, but i need to park on the street downtown all the time. and some are narrow streets.

sorry shglbmx, i don't mean to hi-jack the thread. your car is killin' and i want to see what else you do.
