Have shop paint(remove it off car and put it back on) $1,250 (or $1,400 I forgot which of the two)

streetlightz is great.

however, this is not a simple bolt on kit. I hate when people think its just taking peices off and putting pieces on. Its not. Theres a lot involved and you need to make "custom modifications" on the fly. I have started my conversion about 3 weeks ago and im still going strong with it. Not too much left. I am doing it with my brothers help and we are doing everything the legit way, no shortcuts.

but heres some of the stuff off the top of my head you will need to know how to do:

- eletrical wiring to wire city light and sidemarker. My brother and I did everything the right way. We used soldering iron and wire loom to basically make the wire harnesses look bone stock...no messy wire crimps or anything. Actually, it looks neater then the OEM Honda harnesses. My brother is an engineer, so he lives for this type of ****.
- shave front crash bar to make front bumper fit
- rear tail lights on Si rear quarter panel dont just fit in. You need to modify the rear tail light housing to get the lights to fit in.
- rear tail light wiring for reverse lights.

Also, if ordering from streetlightz, speak with Andy and be sure you order EVERYTHING that you will need. Tell him not to forget the wiring pignails for the city bulbs and sidemarkers, wiring pigtails for reverse lights, front wheel well mud guards (Si ones are different then FD2, so ifyou keep your Si ones, you will see it doesnt quite go on right with the new fenders and bumper on there), rear under splash guard

im sure im forgetting things but this will get you going.

that being said, my brother and I are documenting everything so we can do it to other cars in the future. My car is our first, so if we ever run accross a local person who wants to do a conversion, im sure if they give us the car for the month and pay us the right amount of $, we wouldnt mind taking on the project. Paint included.

At this point, we can probably do it blindfolded and will take a lot less time the 2nd time around.

danielg,

thanks for the info man great help im am having a friend who did body work on his vw to help me out with everything he loves working on cars and stuff. Although on my conversion i am keeping the oem tail lights i like them better for some reason. although i am doing the hole front end thanks for the heads up on the side marker wiring that is what i though would be the hard part and thanks for telling me about the stuff to tell andy although what do you mean by "shaving the front crash bar" also what exhaust are you using to fit the
the rear bumper

for the front conversion all you have to do is modify the rebar, the rest of the kit is 100% bolt on, it only took me about 4-5 hrs to get everything on.

you make it sound harder than it really is. yea there's some wire tapping for the headlights and sidemarkers but that's it for the front.

or maybe that's just me, I dunno.

okay? i'm not trying to be rude or anything but you are just making it HOT BOX. it took me from 6pm to mid night all by my self. and you can take a look at my pic's of the finish product, BUT i did not do the side markers not my thing. the rear took me less than 1 hour. so i don't see how you took so MANY WEEKS for such a simple BOLT ON KIT.
