You deserve at LEAST a new Si. From a fellow GG owner, enjoy the car and thanks for your sacrifice.

NOpe I dont know a CPL Porter, what unit is he in? My Si will be a USDM one made for servicemen in Europe. Just a quick question though, Mine is not availiable with navigation, Is it possible to get one dealer installed when I get back?

Yes, it is. Probably not worth it though...since you'll have to get a rather large assortment of parts. People are saying that it's more worth it to get aftermarket...

...then again, I LOVE the steering wheel controls...

...I wish I bought navi...

I'd heard the nav's were only installed at the factory, actually. But like Izzy said, many aren't overly concerned as an aftermarket kit would be cheaper. I personally think the compartment behind the shifter is a good place for one.

Chase: Thanks for serving brother! You will love your GG Si. I got mine the same day as OHSiGuy - end of May. No Navi but the aerokit and 18 in HFP wheels. Great ride. Spent 15 years in Germany with the USAF. Only did a short stint in the sand during D Storm. Where in Germany will you be heading to after Iraq? I miss driving in Germany sometimes but it can be hectic. One thing I always liked about Europeans was that seemed to have more respect for other peoples cars than many in the US. I never worried about door dings when parking somewhere on the economy - even in the tightest parking spots.

Congrats on your order! And again, thanks for doing your part. Got a son stationed in Darmstadt at present but he drives an older BMW.

Ramadi is a dump? Never been to Iraq but literally every picture I've seen on the news makes it seem like the entire country is dump. Can't imagine what it is like for our GIs there let alone the peaceful Iraqis.

Ditto, stay safe.

Iraq actually has some nice looking places, the ones Saddam took care of. The pictures you see are mostly from the Sunni triangle and Baghdad. Ramadi takes the cake though, IMO.
