New EX coupe w/ navi

Just wanted to share the great news. I picked up my atomic blue EX coupe AT with navi yesterday. The accessories I got were the all-weather floor mats, interior lighting (look in the dark pics. you can faintly see it). When I went to pick up the car, the lady who sold me the car told me she put on wheel locks also. Oh yeah, all my accessories were free. I also asked for a nice key chain and the lady gave it to me. I bought my car from Bobby Rahel Honda in Central PA and am very satisfied with them. I would recommend them to anyone. I dealt with a lady named Shirley. She was very accomodating and helpful.

I've put on 350 miles on it already driving back to my place in NJ. My parents live in PA. Almost broken in. I'm very satisfied with it so far. My previous car was a 95 Corolla, so this is an improvement. I originally wanted an Acura TL, but when I thought about it, I really wanted the navi. Plus, no car payments is a great thing.

I ordered this back at the end of March and they told me it would take 3 months to come in. I'm patient so I didn't mind waiting especially since I'm particular about getting the color with navi. When I first went into the dealership, they had a black civic coupe with navi, but there are too many black cars out there. The same goes with white and silver. The atomic blue is just a beautiful color.

To everyone who thinks they can just buy an aftermarket navi and think it would be the same thing but cheaper, I disagree. It's not just the navi, but all the in-dash controls, voice activation, calendar, calculator, address book, touch screen, etc. Personally, I think without the navi, the dash looks too empty. I really woudln't have considered the car unless it came with navi. The cloth interior really feels high quality. Almost like suade. With the navi, I feel the gap between a luxury car and this car is less. I may get spoiled with the navi though. The XM is good enough for me. I might be raving too much about the civic, but remember, I came from a corolla that I had since I was 17. I'm 25 now. That was a basic corolla. No power windows, locks. But it had a radio and A/C. It had three gears, no tach, but it worked. I drove that thing to Florida and back. Through winters in Ithaca (Central NY for all those who don't know). Because it had only three gears, you could barely hear anything other than the engine at 80 mph. It got 32 mpg.

Some details about my purchase. I paid it in full. It was $21,9XX out the door with all my accessories.

Anyways, here are some pics. Let me know if you can see them.

I've been looking for an EX 5MT w/ Navi, but they don't exist anymore apparently.

I gave up and decided to get a Fiji Blue Si without Navigation.

I'm disappointed in Honda's lack of 5MT coupes w/ navi.

I waited for five months, with several dealers telling me "we can't get it, sorry" or "Honda rejected your order request, but they'll send a color you didn't want with an automatic and a navi?"

Even the biggest dealership in Minnesota couldn't get me one. It wasn't about patience, it was about proper sales procedures, something Honda is definately lacking on in terms of communication with it's dealerships.

I had the balls to wait for several months before I got sick of being played with, so I just bought a fiji blue si without navi instead.

Congrats! Love that Atomic Blue color.

And yes, apparently EX 5MT Civics are rare, even now! As I posted in another thread, the '06 EX 5 speed I bought back in October was the only one they found that wasn't white (a big factor for me...I did NOT want a white one!) in 3 states.

A friend of mine has the same model and color, only his is an automatic. I prefer the stick shift much better. Already have close to 19K on it!

my 2006 atomic blue ex coupe with navigation

Hello and congrats on your purchase!! I just recently purchased a car exactly like yours about 3 wks ago. Same everything except its a 5 speed manual. I wanted an (silver) automatic but they didn't have one and i heard how much fun the manuals are so i bought one. But i did fell in love with the atomic blue and like you said there's not a lot of that color out there. I love it very much. STill getting used to the manual but i'm getting there. I also love the navigation!
