i would advise not using the screws that come with the pedal. the screws will rust and look like ass. the pedal itself made it through an upstate n.y winter and still looks awesome! i went to home depo and got stainless screws. they were only a buck for 4. i think they look better as the screws that come with the pedal are black.

This is kind of embarrassing but I cant seem to screw in the screws with a regular philips. Its to hard to pierce the factory pedal for me.. any suggestions?

I would try using another screwdriver if you've got one. I had the same problem with mine, then found another screwdriver that gripped the screw head more firmly. It was much easier from there. If that doesn't work though, I'd just drill four small holes to get them started. Don't go all the way down, just enough for the screws to catch. Also, as stated above, go out and get some stainless steel screws. My screws rusted within a week. With spring here, those black screws that ship with the pedal will be orange in no time.

Great thread, I just found the first mod for my car when I get it. This is an easy install compared to many other dead pedal assemblies, not to mention the 'universal fit' types that are cheap and sloppy. My last two dead pedals were made by members of the two car's forums and held up for years.

You have my order. Can you please set up a group buy for the complete Sport Pedal setup and the shift boot?

I would like to see a picture of your boot installed with a TWM Abrams Shift Knob set as low as possible. I know some people have had issues with shift boots designed to fit the stock setup.

Blue Rocket's CTR shift boot...

My screws are holding up well, no rust or anything, but then again I live in TX, so no snow

The screws in snow is a thought i had since I'm in it all the time in winter. I am thinking of epoxy or a high strength glue to use with some heat to seat the pedal without the screws and then fasten the screws and see if it holds over time.

I did this in my last car and the screws went into the 'carpeting' and rusted. I cut the rubber liner for the bottom of the pedal out and glued it as it stayed for two years.

I just ordered one of these and thinking of getting the whole pedal set not because of looks but just so it matches.
