do it right at the first place. you HAVE to removed the door panels.

I love to do it if I have two door. Four door is too much work for me.

does the red or any other colour get dirty quickly? I definately have been thinking of doing this because my side panel is so scratched from my key. Dumb thing scrtaches so easily!

its just another color fabric,i see no reason that it would show dirt faster unless you put a whiy fabric on

I just did this the other day, and it turned out perfect! I have a Neutron Blue (Canada) EX and I put on a nice dark blue suede. It looks awesome, Im getting compliments from everyone and people have even asked me if it was stock or a genuine Honda accessory!
I'll take some pics tomorrow but I was lucky to have a Honda Service Tech who is doing renovations on my bathroom, he showed me how to easily and properly take the door panel off, so it was super easy!

i did this with white on mine. The white doesn't get at all, for me. I've gotten a lot of mixed reviews about it, though.

Yeah, I've gotten a lot of mixed replies on it. i might take it off and change it to the suede fabric to match what's on the arm-rest there. Anything to cover up that textured plastic.

Took me probably about 2-3 hours and I had never taken a door apart before either. I know it could be done in wayyyyyy less though.

Yeah, it took Jeremy (esx005) about 2 or so hours to do it, and he had never really taken a door apart either. I mean, he took the panels off of his sti a long time ago, but these doors are completely different so... It shouldn't be much of a problem, I tried to take as many pics as possible so anyone could do this diy.

i just went to the only fabric shop around me and they have some suede that looks like it may be the same color as what you have for like 20 something a yard, is that just regular upholstery suede you used( thin) or is it like special type that is thicker, id like to get ahold of some alcantara or whatever it is so it matches the arm parts and seats and auger shift boot but will possibly go with the other stuff depending on costs
