I agree, but I do think that the red was a better choice. It matches the interior of the car. Blue would stand out too much against red stitching, red si logo's, red ambient lighting, red gauges, etc. etc..

Now if all of that was swapped to blue, then you would have a fantastic fbp..

Looks great! i agree red was a better choice to match the Si interior.

How much did everything cost? I'm thinking about doing this, except with blue suede to match the interior of my ex coupe.

it cost a little less than 20 bucks i used a material called butter suede which was a lot cheaper and looks like suede.

wicked DIY, but i'm too chicken to do it cuz i don't trust myself and the risk of LOTS of rattle from taking the doors apart.

I would like to replace the armrest material. How difficult do you think that would be?

Excellent DIY. +1 rep for you for the hard work. Not feeling the suede (prefer leather) but your DIY is good for any material. Atta boy---

the color looks like an almost dead on match with the stitching. in only 1 pic does it look off and it looks like the lighting, not the material. looks great!

yeah dead on match the flash seems to always screw things up. the one w/the door closed is what it looks like all the time.

esx005 - awesome write up! i was wondering, how many yards did you need? im going to email auger and try and get the same material they used on my shif boot, so the match is perfect. my boot is red alcantara w/ black stitch, and i have a rr Si, so im going with the red/black theme on the inside.
