So because its an Si and the gauges are red and a small amount of fabric is...i have to do red? thats like saying a DX, LX, or EX can only do blue cause thats just the way honda made it.

Im not trying to knock you or anything I think its great to be different and it looks like Andrew did a superb job installing them. Tell him to put some red ones in my car. I think you have came along way from the lx and your si is being put together correctly and I give you power for being outgoing and doing somthing different

I disagree that Si's should only be red and the rest should be blue... the only time it ever matters is when your driving around. If they had made it to where you could switch out the red for blue or vice versa, that'd be nice, but the redline is different.

on the sedans how did you guys remove the locking mechanism off? i can pop everything and the door is un-attach, but im still unsure on how to remove it from the door panel.

It's mounted with a screw underneath a plastic cover, but there's also a clip further in there... you have to push the centre in about 1/4" to release it, but don't push it too far or else it'll drop into the door.

i did that, but how do i go about removing the locking mechanism from the door panel, i think they're a few clips around the lock, i try pushing the clips in and pulling on the locking mechanism at the same time, no go.

thats pretty much how you do it. work with the handle side to side while pushing those clips in. thats how it comes out so you just have to be careful and take your time, it will come out.

edit. not sure but are you pushing it out through the hole or pulling it in? it's got to go out then pull it back through the hole.

Umm... I might be slightly confused here, but I'm assuming you're trying to separate the lock/door latch cables from the door handle/lock assembly to take the panel off the door? If so, your best bet is to separate the assembly from the door panel, and leave it attached to the cables. That way you can take the door panel off and leave the door handle/lock behind.
