im not exactly sure but i can tell you its less than 10 ft, thats how much was used total but i also attempted my lower backseat myself at first before i gave up. and two pieces went to waste on my door panels cuz the first had bumps in it after i was done then the second got some adhesive on it so all that used up like 3-5 ft i would guess. so i would say a max of like 7-8 ft to do the seats and door panels like that. that is of course assuming the upholstery shop isnt wasteful with the material.

I wish I could just be in GA for a while and get it done there. I dont know of any good places for upholstery here. We do have good tacos and burritos here though, lol.

For my car I would like to do my interior just like the one above with the red. How much material did it take to do that and how much did it cost to get done?
Here's an alternative you might consider, although you'd DEFINITELY need to tie this in somewhere else. Ruffled leather. Its really simple actually, but its a very luxurious look. You're basically just doing the same thing but you don't attach the leather smooth and it needs to be like butter if you know what i mean. If i were to do a fabric change (i have an LX so i'd need the correct panels first) i'd probably go with a black and chocolatey-caramel brown suede or leather theme with staggered horizontal bands of black and brown on the doors, seat centers and the console armrest and redo the rest of the car in black or leave it stock grey (though i could sneak some blue stitching in methinks).

I personally hate leather and it will be nowhere other than the shift boot and the steering wheel. I hated it before I moved to san antonio where it's hot as hell, lol. I didn't like it in the s2k or the ss camaro either.

i live in new orleans so we kind of get an even 50/50 when it comes to weather. Now, i will NEVER have a leather steering wheel and i would actually prefer a sueded material for seats instead of full grain leather but i'm okay with leather seats as long as i have enough spare time to maintain them properly.

Can you undo it? If so, how do you remove the 3M 77? Will it mess up the door panel if I try to take it off? I have an LX so there's no pre-suede under there. I really REALLY want to do this but I just wanted to know if it's permanent.

what i'd do is just get the parts off an Si if its panels have padding and just use those for your base. That way you can just pop your modded panels off and put the stock ones back on if you decide to sell the car or whatnot.

that's why i figure its a better idea to just get another set of panels and save your stock ones in the event you want/need to switch back. The same way you can do when you get a headlight conversion. You can either send them your car's headlights or you can send them an extra pair purchased by you so that you still have a stock pair if you ever want/need to switch back.

Just use rubbing alcohol and goo gone to get rid of the adhesive? Will the adhesive stick to the LX base better or the Si base better? I'll look for another door panel and if it gets too difficult, I'll just leave it stock..I want to get a dark grey color to make it look OEM but also have some sort of suede for the luxury/looks factor. Great DIY btw.

you don't NEED to drill them. some people found it easier. i just cut them out cause there not clips or screws there solid plastic that needs to be cut/drilled out in order to take the panels off.
