Wow! That looks GREAT. Can't wait to try it on my RR Si, think it would look killer. I was worried because just got my car and never done work on it, but seems like other people have done it and with help from my friend seems doable.
Thanks for the awesome DIY, and great idea!!!! |

Its interesting actually. From looking at Honda's photograph of the airbags deployed, it looks like they deploy from the door. Of course, i don't know they work other than its a chemical reaction that inflates them
. However, looking at my car, the stamp identifying the side airbag "SIDE AIRBAG" is on the side of the seats, suggesting that they in fact deploy from the seats. I haven't sat in a 2-door except once b4 i got my FA1 but i'm guessing that they deploy in a similar manner.my 2cents |

2 choices:
A) You phone up the company and try getting it through them -or- B) Go up to those people on the corners who sell the Phooey Vuitton stuff and ask them where they get the stuff P.S. LV is an excellent company and everything anyone could want in luggage or personal effects but b4 you go any further might i suggest you try doing a photochop to get an idea of what it might look like? Gods forbid i try to stomp your style because mine's probably just as unique and i wouldn't like that either, but some things look better in theory than they do in real life. |

If you really want to do it, do NOT go with the white print. Here's why:
A) I've seen it in person and it is VERY white, a stark contrast to the civic's grey, ivory, or black (Si) interiors. Even with the black material, you'll have to tie it to the rest of the interior somehow. B) White material in general gets dirty...FAST. Remember, you're attaching this to your car door and keeping white leather looking clean is alot harder than brown, black or even grey leather and whenever she gets in the car if its raining, that panel will get wet. Bottom line is this: Too much of a tasteful style can look overdone or tacky but too little of the same style makes it feel misplaced, artificial. You have to find a way to blend it into the rest of the interior. Jeremy did it by using the same fabric on the door panels and the seat centers to balance it out. __________________________________________________ ______________ Don't hate me for being nosy. For my car I would like to do my interior just like the one above with the red. How much material did it take to do that and how much did it cost to get done? |
