Do you guys know why the kit (courtesy light) from Honda says it can not be installed on EX with fog lights installed? Is it a wiring problem? If so will I still be able to do a mod like this? I have a EX with fog lights installed...

I believe it is because the switch that turns the OEM lights on and off fits in the same spot as where your current fog light switch would be. You can't fit 2 switches in that 1 space.

This mod is a non-switched mod. It's tied to the interior power, so it's auto on and off. You could add a switch to it and locate it somewhere though if you chose to.

So...i'm very curisous and have a noobie question. Are u suing a seperate battery to keep the lights on under the cup holders and the little pocket?
No, right? If you are not, where did you attatch the wires under the cupholder? I just cant understand what to do with those wires underneath.

You are correct, they are all connected to the auxiliary plug in the center console. I taped them down to clean it up and I am debating redoing it another way because I am not happy with the way the reflect out from where they are now. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the great photos mishima8. I was able to use them to find a power source for my XM hardwire.

It should be on the first page. Once you open up the console, it's the black and yellow wires. Does that help?

So basically when u attach the LED wires to the yellow and the black wires under the console, it will use the power from the yellow and black wires to light up, correct?

if you dont want the lights to make a concentrated spot, cover the led light with a grocery bag. try different kinds and it will spread out the lighting
