That's why I was asking about the cheap filters. It's not like I need a K&N filter for my air vents. Plus it's not like a "good" air cabin filter is gonna protect my lungs from anything, haha.

You can vaccum the filters. It will get most of the crap out. Just use a shop vac or something with a lot of power (I was going to say suction - but I know what kind of response I would get).
Also - if you look at the filter compared to a $6 or $10 filter - there is not much difference.
Also - acura's have micronair filters. The filter was sold under the bosch name - but it is actually manufactured by micronair. They did not even bother to re-brand it. I just changed the one in my wife's TL...

The side of my filter says micronair. They work very well. 30 bucks under the boshe name at AutoZone.

If you want to extend the life of the filter, people may want to try putting a sponge filter (like those on a shop vac) on top of the filter to "pre filter".

I am not sure how effective it will be.

30 bucks every 9 months to breathe in my car is worth the money.

Joe

I thought you were supposed to change it at least once a year. Especially since that's the air you're breathing.

Just open the glove box

then press in on both sides like this. (i needed one hand for the camera)

once you press both sides in enough the glove box should open past its stops.

do the same to put the glovebox back

much faster, and doesnt require any tools beside your two hands
