anyone have a part number that they know works? I bought a bosch on from a local parts store and its off by about 1/2 of an inch. Also it came in two smaller filters instead of one big one and they don't fit into the tray just right.

Sounds like they may have given you the filters for the 7th gen civic.

7th gen has two filters and the 8th gen has 1.

I would go back and have him check his listing.

its not the intake filter for your engine its the filter for the air coming into your cabin for AC and heating.

Would it be a cruel joke to put a can of tuna in that filter on someone's car?

That "new car" smell comes from the glue and crap they use to put your new car together. Saw it on some news show.
Like someone said, it's supposed to be toxic!

I'm not sure if this is normal, but do you guys get a funny smell from the AC once in a while? I have driven 7th, and 8th gen Civics, and I get some funny smell from the AC, specially when you just turn on the AC. Could it be the filter? Cuz the car is pretty new.

Nice DIY btw.

I do if it's turned so that air is coming from the outside. I think it's normal?
