Yuck, looks like I'll have to run it to the fuse box. I gotta extend the wire since i already cut it.

I was thinking...since I have a sunroof and it only works when the car is on or the key is turned to the accessory position, then there's gotta be a 12V acc wire there! Doesn't make any sense why I can't find it.

Thanks dhowse for posting this. I was looking for a way to have my garage door opener easily accessible, but installed in way that made it look stock/oem. This was the perfect solution for me.

I just finished installing an autodimming mirror w/ homelink and compass on my 09 EX coupe. Just wanted to give a heads up on a couple of issues I ran into during the install.

1. I though I found a 12v acc wire in the moonroof wires. Pink wire with silver stripe. But this is not the correct wire. The mirror turns off when the car turns off and the dome lights turn on. But when the dome lights turn off, the mirror turns back on. Not sure what this wire is for, but it would keep the mirror turned on when the car would be turn off.

I tested the other wires from the moonroof and dome light connectors, but there was not a 12v acc that I could find. Because of this, I had to run the acc wire down to the the fuse box via the a-pillar....which turned out to be very simple to do.

2. The short wire cover would have worked, but it was just wee bit short when fully extended. I also had the long wire cover. The long wire cover, unextended, was a perfect fit.

Hi guys, I just bought myself and '09 EX sedan and this is definately a DIY I would like to do. I was wondering if anyone has successfully installed this in an 09 without having to go all the way down the A pillar? Any response would be awesome! Thanks.

After futzing with my radar detector install, unless I am totally dumb, I don't find an accessory wire anywhere, they ALL stay on after the car is off. Or if they go off they come back on when the mirror lights turn off.

09 Si Sedan here.... going to run 2 leads from the fuse box, one for radar one for this greaqt mod once I get around to it!

When you guys do get around to it, do you think we could get a shot of where in the fuse box you are hooking it up to?

You don't know where the fuse box is? Look under your dash to the left... I just stuck the wire in with one of the fuses.
