If you're talking about the K&N drop in, the R18 has it's own filter. It actually came out first.
Just as an FYI, one isn't necessarily better than the other if they come from the same company. The difference is in how efficient the air intake system (including the filter) is. If it's less efficient from the factory, you'll typically see larger gains than on one that has been optimized from factory specs, like the Si's. By efficiency, I'm measuring based on hp unleashing of course.

I'm hoping Amsoil comes out with a drop-in soon. I know the Ford filter fits the Si. I was hoping the same one might fit the EX.
The last K&N air filter I had scared me. I've seen screen doors with more filtration potential (opinion, obviously). Trying to decide if a CAI is worth the extra bucks. Thanks guys. |
