I'd say get sprint booster. I have it on my car and I instantly felt the quick responsiveness i was looking for. Quicker acceleration over stock IMO. It's easy to install. Takes literally 1 minute. Prob the best mod I've done to my civic. Had it for almost 3 1/2 years now and I would never take it off as long as I have my civic.

I'm going to say yes, get either a CAI, or an SRI and install it yourself. This is the key part. Installing it yourself. Find one with a decent heatshield. AFE has a good SRI that has a total wrap around on it and the tube is a type of plastic which is good because it won't transfer heat.
