Actually, from my experience, air behind the front light was not as cold as I expected, especially with A/C on. I would be really curious to see what is the temperature difference is when car is at a dead stop with A/C on; because mine was huge. A/C and engine fans create a lot of hot air there, but hope I am wrong.

i'm hoping somebody else will fabricate something cheap like a MM scoop to work with the powerchamber to drawl in colder air from behind the bumper and post a DIY. i'll copy them then lol

you should just go with NACA scoop, cheap (20-30$) and really functional IMO

Ha this is why I am delaying putting in fog lights, for another year, just incase something comes out, and it needs that hole. I can live without fog lights, I can't live with out speed (not the drug).

I think its pretty easy to fabricate a scoop. The factory snorkel would be almost perfect for the power chamber. It would point directly at the intake. I plan to route some piping directly into the fog light hole for some real RAM air!

UPDATE!!!!!!!

I had a chat with PW:JDM to clear up confusion with all the "issues" regarding this intake. This conversation should clear things up and make people stop over reacting.

pwjdmrep is available (1:19:57 PM)
06+ Civic SI PowerChamber Intake available for pre-order!!
m4ttmu53 (1:19:57 PM): hey
m4ttmu53 (1:20:21 PM): remember who i am? Not a complaining customer, this is Darkrom lol
pwjdmrep is available (1:29:46 PM)
06+ Civic SI PowerChamber Intake available for pre-order!!
PWJDM Rep (1:29:45 PM): Hi, Brad isn't here today.
m4ttmu53 (1:31:31 PM): awww. lol can i talk to you for a quick sec?
PWJDM Rep (1:31:39 PM): sure.
m4ttmu53 (1:32:08 PM): so i know your being attacked by this but i wanna ask as a neutral person who hasn't pre-ordered...whats the deal with the si powerchamber
m4ttmu53 (1:32:18 PM): the nipple confusion and empty hoses going nowhere
PWJDM Rep (1:33:02 PM): lol, we are doing a small revision on the intake, hopefully all will be available to ship next week.
m4ttmu53 (1:33:13 PM): from everything ive read you guys are resolving it, but what is the actual problem that a few had?
m4ttmu53 (1:33:37 PM): I will order mine a little later in the year anyway once I know how to run N20 through it...but I'm curious so i can help explain on 8thcivic
m4ttmu53 (1:33:49 PM): did it not have a nipple that was needed on the elbow basically?
PWJDM Rep (1:34:28 PM): Brad know more about than I do, but I think the problem was due to the position of the breather tube.
PWJDM Rep (1:34:48 PM): 8th gen didn't like where it was routed.
m4ttmu53 (1:34:58 PM): to no where?
m4ttmu53 (1:34:59 PM): lol
PWJDM Rep (1:36:27 PM): no we had it routed before the MAF sensor
PWJDM Rep (1:36:36 PM): but they wanted it after the MAF sensor.
m4ttmu53 (1:42:34 PM): oh okay. It makes sense
m4ttmu53 (1:42:34 PM): lol
m4ttmu53 (1:43:03 PM): i just wanted to see what everyone was overreacting about. So now its just going to be a nipple in a different position and the intake is ready to go after that?
PWJDM Rep (1:43:16 PM): yup
m4ttmu53 (1:43:39 PM): Well then thank you for your time and I hope this clears it up on the site.
PWJDM Rep (1:43:46 PM): NP
m4ttmu53 (1:43:53 PM): have a good one!
PWJDM Rep (1:43:59 PM): help us out and mention on 8th gen
PWJDM Rep (1:44:02 PM): you too.
m4ttmu53 (1:44:29 PM): already planning on it
PWJDM Rep (1:44:39 PM): thanks

Didn't they say they'd send them out today with the location for the 2nd hose? They probably pushed it back yet another week because everyone here was complaining they should be connected after the MAF sensor, so there goes all of the couplers they had.

Atleast they will hopefully have it right though.. I'm glad they didn't ship them out and find out about this problem afterwards. I would be really aggravated then.

lol everyone... would you rather it be delayed another month so its actually correct? common. even if it ships by the end of sept its still gunna be awesome and worth the wait. it would have shipped already if they only wanted one nipple, and it would have shipped by today probbly if the second nipple was just before the MAF and not after. it will be worth the wait.

So what if you need to be jumpstarted, due to weak battery? would this still be poss. to access the battery without removing the power chamber?

Yeah, there's space enough to do that.

There are still some issues to sort out, it has the potential to be a very good SRI, but if its rushed, some users will be unhappy.

I have sent some PM's to PWJDM with my concerns based on my experience with this intake, havn't heard anything back.
