PRM intake filter + HPS intake arm

After a couple weeks of emailing back and forth with Gerry of PRM intakes on what filter to use for my custom intake setup, we finally decided to go with the 15" S2000 PRM Filter. Along with the PRM filter, i also purchased a HPS silicone intake arm. I used a 45 degree 3” to 3.5” coupler that was supplied by PRM to angle the filter downwards so that the car could draw in cooler air. Install was easy, only tricky thing was removing the stock lower airbox mounting bracket to make room for the larger filter. Overall i am very happy with the PRM filter, its top notch quality. I noticed a much stronger pull throughout the RPM compared to my K&N filter I had on before. I've had a few other intake setups such as X-styled intake, icebox w/ M&M scoop, and sri w/ K&N universal intake arm w/ M&M scoop and this setup by far has been the best setup (judging from my butt dyno). The sound from the filter is also very nice, its quiet when driving normally but when you get on it, it makes the car sound very deep and aggressive. Big thanks to Gerry of PRM intakes!

After:

As you can see, the filter extends all the way down like a CAI to get cold air but retains the qualities of a SRI, its the best of both worlds!

+1 for creativity. this setup looks promising. less heat due to the hose, there are minimal bends in the tubing. an under the car shot would be optimal to see where the filter is pointing. anyway, good job dude.

his MAF retains the Divders so his A/F ratios will be in check

still going to get some heat soak off the radiator hose, need to purchase the napa hose #7777 to gain about 3-4 inches of space between the hps tube and the radiator hose

looks very interesting, nice work

Looks... interesting?

I like the HPS arm, but I dont know about the PRM filter. Different is good... but I'd go with the Apexi, or a velocity stack + K&N since they are proven at freeing up power.
