Do you already have one?!?

Does AJ-R have these in stock already?

No one has this yet. AJR has not officially released this intake because the parts they received from Japan isn't complete. Once those remaining parts are received, this will start shipping out.

just a question, with the scoop are you going to have to clean/check the filter more often?

It wouldn't be a bad idea to check more often (because of the open air inlet), but it's not something that requires more maintenance/checks than a regular filter.

He brings up a good point though... lower ram air inlets injest more dirty air... I'd keep a close eye on things. Make sure leaves and the such don't accumulate in there... Do you have a pic of the dremel'd fog hole?

Good point indeed, but this applies to any aftermarket intake system that has an unobstructed opening to unfiltered air. Like I said previously, keep a look out on things for the first little while and go from there. This depends on where you drive and the road conditions (highway vs city vs country roads, dirtiness, etc).

Yeah I will definitely get the ball rolling on the video. Hopefully I can get this done this weekend.

Also, IIRC in the old thread, you said the bottom half of the box was going to be CF as well...

Sorry... mis-information. Only the top air box cover is CF in this system.

Okay, feel free to delete that post if you wish. Still an awesome intake regardless. One main question: Is there any specific care you need to give for the CF top, like waxing it etc?

Nope. The CF is sealed with a clear polymer that acts much like plastic. No special care is needed - just keep abbrasive pads/surfaces away, don't put a flame to it, don't drop it, etc. Just common sense stuff.

intake and construction looks very nice!

right now on my stock intake, i just disconnected the rubbler coupler after the air box. it surprised the hell out of me with the sound and throttle response.

do you have any on hand experience with this free mod comparing it to the new T1R system?

1) Very nice and clean. Only problem is the blue silicone, but everybody has different taste.
2) Any videos? Would be nice
3) Dyno with A/F readings?
4) I am very interested on this.

I'm right there with ya... I have a smoothed OEM box, K&N drop-in with a smoothed resonator ram air scoop.... Clean, classy but 1000% invisible. Just as soon as these dynos go up, I'm going to get one done to compare the curves 1st, then the gains.

Cheers to Aj for getting this done though.... the effort is extremely apparent.
