I don't follow people closely at all. I also park it in the garage. I think that helps. :) The paint is shitty on most cars, imo. Hondas are no exception. If you go to the BMW forums, they complain about it, too.

IMHO, anyone who didn't get a clear bra from the factory for the entire front bumper, fenders, hood and mirrors is going to be SOL. I wish I would have gotten it because the front end of my car looks terrible. It's a really small investment that goes a long way. A freaking rock chip punctured a hole in my front bumper and it's lifting up some of the paint.
Asides from that, my rocker panel looks like absolute A-S-S as well. I would have taken frigging plastic over a metal-based rocker panel if they were going to put hardly any paint there.

My front end is full of chips aswell, really depressing. My car is NHBP so i'm trying to find some black wax that would will up all the chips to make em less visible. I just waxed my car with nxt, so all chips filled up with white residue from the wax, they are more visible now...

The paint these days is better for the environment, but not so good with the flying stones and rocks on the freeways. My wife drives and xB and a clear bra was manditory. We currently have 6 stone chips in our windshield but a clean chip free front end.
I will never buy a car without adding that to the purchase. The clear bra is worth every penny! |

I think bra's are a waste of money. The car will be darker wherever the bra is covering it and you won't be matching especially if you are black. I'd rather drive it for 3 years, and repaint my front end / blend to have a perfect match. Same price.
As far as cheap looking, I see orange peel a lot and will be taking it to my paint shop so they can wetsand and buff it. If you want it to look like those photoshopped pictures, do the same and you'll be set. |

Aside from the dust line that forms on the edge of the clear bra, they're very unnoticeable. And if you have that dust line you should probably wash your car anyway. In retrospect a clear bra would've done a lot to save my front end--scratches and chips everywhere.
