Window Tinting

Im getting my windows tinted this afternoon and was thinking about going with 5 or 10%. My car color is nighthawk so i think it would look good with really dark windows im going to leave the windsheild as is though. Also incase any1 was wondering the cops out here dont care about detailing such as this and I talked 2 a police officer that said even if u were pulled over it is only a secondary offense and the most ull get fined is $25.

I don't like word of mouth type things. Best if it's written down... Being a part time cop for a little bit, I learned to be wary of dark tinted cars because you can't see anyones hands.

heh cool. I'm gettin my tints this afternoon too. but probably not gonna go as dark as you are. also, i don't wanna risk gettin pulled over. I already feel a tension with cops anytime they pass them.

I am getting 5% on the 25th of May. Had 13% before and it wasn't dark enough for me. Got to do at least 1 car with dark tints.

That's true, but sometimes people dont, and those are usually the worst. Hondas are high on the theft list.

thats what one of my friends said! Luckily the cop wasn't that much of an ass and just let him off with an "invisible" fix it ticket. (cop didn't give him one)

Great idea! The local cops already don't like me... I've been pulled over numerous times because I "look" suspicious.

Since all the Jacksonville PD know I carry a concealed I roll all 4 windows down so they can plainly see me and I aint gotta worry about them pulling on me.

Did you check if your state has a percentage limit on tint?

But anyways you guys are lucky that your fines are only $25. Over here if it's darker than 35% +/- 6% the fine is $287 per window that's illegal. I wish I could go 5%

I had 5% before all around except the windshield. 2 pervious cars before my SI, and I got used to it no problem. It's really not big of a deal.

I just like the blacked out feeling so people can't look who's inside.
