If you adjust your mirrors properly, you will never have a blind spot.

Sit in your seat and adjust the mirror vertically so that you can easily see behind you far down the road. Then to get it set right horizontally, move it out until you can't see the back of your car anymore. You already know what the back of your car looks like so you shouldn't need it in the mirror. Once you do that, make sure you see the line in the middle of the road in your mirror so you know it's not set too far out. Do the same with the other mirror and get your rear view set to look straight behind you and you won't have a blind spot. It's how I have mine set, and I can see every vehicle around me at all times, including motorcycles. That way you don't need those ugly bug eyes on your mirrors.

*edit* As far as the bug eyes go, put them in #3 to max the range you get from them. That's where they should be to be installed properly. Any other spot reduces the effectiveness of the mirrors because of the angles between you, the mirrors and the other cars you're trying to see.

Exactly what itchytoe said.

I saw this explained on a driving show too.

I mean put the convex mirrors on if you want, but personally I think they look tacky and should be reserved for guys hauling a trailer.

Yeah. There should be no reason for a little civic to need one of those. But i shouldnt speak considering i have a Broadway mirror lol. But the broadway allows me to set my side mirrors even further from the car for an even wider overall view

no blind spot for me, if I feel uncomfortable when about to make a lane change, I just turn my head. saves from a tacky looking mod like this
