Why Debadge the Civic Logo? Your thoughts here!
Hi all 8th gen peeps. Most of us have de-badged our babies -- i debadged her on the 2nd day after seeing so many of you here do it.
So why do YOU debadge? For looks? Does it mean something? Just wanted to know your thoughts! Millerman ![]() |

I'm one both sides of the fence on this one. Debadging makes the vehicle look cleaner, I agree with that. But I think it was orginally done on earlier model civics because it also came with the benefit of declassifing a lesser model such as DX or CX. I have also heard of people going the other way by saying it was for "tricking" would be car theivies into believing that their Si or EX is a lower trim level. I have one friend who even went as far as to switch out the tail lights on his Si to DX ones.
I debadged all my previous civics but I'm currently debating doing it to my 07 SI sedan. Once there off its hard to put them back were Honda stuck them. And plus I paided the extra money to have them there in the first place! |
