Well its illegal in the first place to have a radar detector in those states let a lone something that blocks out the radar....so quite possibly yess..... but jamming devices legality vary from state to state.

I just switched from a 8500 x50 to a Valentine 1 and the Valentine 1 is better picking out "real" threats than the 8500 x50. I have mine set on Advance Logic and gives me some false threats, but about 97% of the time it alerts me of "real" threats in plenty of time to slow down.

So, valentine 1 FTW.

Laser jammers are legal in about 25 states. Radar jammers are under a fenerl law prohibiting them ANYWHERE. I'm talking jail time here.

I agree... You really can't beat the arrows. Set your V1 to automute K band for 30 seconds, and automute X in logic mode, and you've got a radar detector that's unbeatable. The Passport 9500(c)i is a good option too. Either way expect to pay $400 bucks for a good detector.

i have an escort SOLO. it runs on 2AA batteries. i love it. no cord gets in the way! buy rechargeable batteries. the radar detector drains them within like 2 weeks.

They work when the gun is pointed in your general direction. That includes oncoming police cars facing you, as well as police coming up from behind you. Do some research on radar detectors though. They're just a tool to avoid tickets. They can't prevent them, and when an officer is using a LIDAR (Laser) gun to get your speed, even the best radar detector can't protect you from that...

Valentine 1 has the farthest reaching radar according to "Guys of LIDAR" but it still gives out false alarms...but it has those cool arrows that tell you where you are getting blasted from....

Top radars on the market are escort 8500, escort 9500, Valentine one, Beltronics RX65 and beltronics STI...

The STI is really only valuable in Virginia and DC where radar detectors are illegal. Cops there have radar detector detectors(yes you heard that right).... makes cops radar detector detecors unable to detect your radar detector.

I did alot of research............

I live in Maryland but drive in Virginia and DC a lot. This sounds like it would be useful. Would it be useful in Maryland though?

JAIL TIME? Jesus. Never mind, I'll go with the Valentine one.

What's so great about the concealed display? Is it difficult to install?
