Clearing taillights?

hey guys, just a random thought. i have a tw fg2 and iv looked at pics of the concept painted in white and i have to say those taillights are beautiful. now is it possible to do what people do with the headlights put them in the oven and remove the red and just put red leds and completely clear out the tail light? on a white car....that would like awesome...

what my car looks like now...

what id like to see but im not sure...

any thoughts?

no, its impossible

the actual plastic is 1 piece, and its all molded together. and the red is red plastic not a red insert. and you cant take the tail lights apart, you have to cut them apart

lol

As much as " die hard " chevy and ford fanatics like to bolster about their ugly @#@#@ mustangs and 1985 camaros, and how they drive " real cars " .... my opinion is that no eighth gen honda is rice... they are sweet friggin cars in both looks and performance.

End Rant :)

well....its not totally impossible. It will be the biggest PITA and will cost alot of $$$ if you can get it to work.

The "red" is easy to remove. Just buy a set of ebay lights and use those outer lenses but as quoted above, then stock lighs are "fused" together. So there is no method of taking it apart and then reattaching together without making a mess of the lights.

You need to have a red reflector on the side and rear. See how the RX has one down below the tail light?

Now if you added an additional red lamp/reflector to your car you'd be ok.
