Who here had the dealer be a PITA and drill a nice fat hole in the front bumper of their car for the front plate? I do and I am pissed because I want to relocate the plate and even bought the password JDM bracket.
I remember reading that one member on this site was actually able to convince the dealer to give them a new bumper. If you are reading this please post up any paperwork/info about what you had to do/say for this to happen. |

Its like the biggest disappointment ever. I am considering getting a body kit at this point because I have some gross scratches on the rear bumper and now this is on the front. I am very upset that the dealership didn't just take care of the front bumper properly. Also all over my driver side fender there are SWIRL marks from a buffer
![]() They really F'd up my car before I even drove it off the lot. Wish I noticed the swirls when I drove it away, but I was just to excited since it was my 1st new car. I can live with the swirls I just can't imagine taking a drill to someone's brand new car. |

To be honest it is 4 months after I bought the car. I bought it in December and wasn't gunna relocate the plate for a while. I finally got a chance to take off the bracket and see that they raped my bumper.
As for the swirls, I didn't really notice them at all at 1st, but they were there. When I would clean the car I would notice that the fender would look just different. Later I got used to the car and happened to catch it in the sunlight (something I haven't seen in MASS since December), and noticed that it was buffered to death ![]() I haven't even gone to the dealer about it, because I know how dealers are and because it was 4 months ago that I bought the car, they will just jerk me around and I know it. |

wow, i thought it came with brackets so there wouldnt be any holes... my state is a one plate state so the honda dealer just left the kit in my trunk. he even told me it'd look better anyways without a front plate.

I did the same thing. Removed the plate in anticipation of relocating and noticed a big self tapping screw right into the bumper. I don't understand why the dealer would do that. However, it doesn't seem worth it to argue. I just put the plate back on and it will have to stay there.

Part of me wants to call it damage done by the dealer. Then when they insist that a giant hole is not damage, I want to take a drill and find a few of the other cars on the lot and "not damage" them with that haha. I'd still be stuck with a hole though

I would much rather drill the hole and make it bigger and nicer if it is going to serve a purpose lol.
That would change it from a hole to a "planned performance enhancer" and that is something I could tell people and lie to myself and make it feel okay. |

That was my one stipulation to my salesman..."Make sure no one puts the front plate on my car, I'll do it myself!" Working at a dealership (not a Honda one) myself, I knew thats usually the first thing the car wash kids do, is drill in the front plate!
