Furious - minor parking lot hit and run content

I commute to class at Mississippi State University. Well between classes and studying I had to leave my car unattended in the parking lot for several hours today. Came back out to find some waste of human life left me a little present.

Surprise, surprise: they didn't leave any information. Hit and run like this should be a capital offense Any quick estimates? There doesn't seem to be any physical damage other than the paint being rubbed/ground off.

Sadly enough, just getting the HFP rear piece is not good enough. It's a "give a mouse a cookie" scenario, and I can't buy the front lip and side skirts at this time. Besides, I'd like to get it fixed.

I would use some touch up paint for now, then get the HFP rear lip from online and self install. No need to buy to side lip.

Call your dealership and ask if they have a mobile paint repair guy. Ohterwise, it is either strip and re-paint or body kit as the others have said.

there's no need to strip anything... u don't strip a car when u paint it... just a nice scuff/sand then the new paint goes on...

the only time ur supposed to strip paint is when it exceeds 12mils of paint...

Found the car that hit me today. There's fresh, powdery white paint on their bumper at the same height as the scrape on my car. The paint around the scrape on my car is powdery as well. I left them a little not letting them know that they hit me on Wednesday and forgot to leave their information. I left them my email address, so we'll see if they sweat and send me their insurance info.

Now that's karma. Go get 'em. I'd honestly jump on it and immediately get a police report or something.

Well, I went ahead and went to the MSU Police with the information I had gathered. Long story short I have a police report and the joker's name and phone number. The officer who handled my case will be contacting the jerk who hit me. If the individual doesn't contact me by Monday afternoon, further measures will be taken.

Also, I looked up the individual on facebook.
Drumroll, please!

Sorry man, but I can't help but laugh at how you found the owner on Facebook. How the hell did you manage that?

I'd almost bet she didn't even realize she hit you. I know way to many girls that instantly strap on a cell phone once they turn the key.

The officer went ahead and gave me the name of the owner of the car. Owner is a grad student at my college. I had the good fortune of finding a picture of her next to her car in a photo album of hers.
