anyone have 50% tint?

Well i live in MA and they are pretty strict with the tint laws. The max the tint can be is 35%. This makes no sense trying to type this but i guess if i were to get 35% it wouldnt pass inspection because the glass itself is somewhat tinted. So i have to get 50% for it to be legal. Does anyone have pics of there car with 50% tint?

I have never seen 50% but i'd say it might be barely noticeable.

I wouldn't even waste my time with 50%. Even 35% looks very, very light. I'm going to do 20-25% this summer, granted the tinter will do that.

this is luv2sipkoolaid's car, he has 50% on the driver/front passenger windows and 35% on the rest of the car. i think it looks clean. believe me, ive had my fair share of tint tickets and the harrassment sucks. if ur state/city is picky like mine, then do whats legal. its not worth it really

^^ Yeah that's definitely not worth it, the front doesn't even look tinted.

^that looks funny with the rear windows that much darker. The guy at the tint shop gave me a piece of the 50% to see how it looked, and it is noticeably darker.

I got 50% tint in my front windows. Didn't do it for any aesthetic reasons, and only to keep heat from the inside of the car. It doesn't look bad...but it will definitely look better with darker tint.

Yea, I wouldn't do 50% at all kinda of a wast of money imo. 35% and below are when you can tell you have tint.

35% looks good. 50% from the pic, looks like no tint at all.

3M Color Stable 50% (black interior really helps make it look darker). Antenna safe, decent heat rejection.

Global HP Fusion 50%. Bye bye am radio reception.

LLumar ATX 50%. Signal safe, good heat rejection.

FWIW, most shops do have films that will install legal. Since the majority of the states allow 35% net, most 35% films are designed to meter about 32% to 35%. Because in the box they're usually almost a 40% film.

Contact your local shop to see what your legal options are.

Be sure to get a signal safe film (that won't interfere with GPS, remote starts, keyless entry, tire pressure monitors, am/fm or cell phone reception).

i had 50% on my car and really like it. It was very light but definately looked tinted (the cop thought so too). If the legal is 35 just get that and you should be alright. If your that worried then try and find a place that has 40 or 45. Yes it is out there.
