Shall i let honda paint them ?

So,im going to paint my black handles same color as the body ( silver ) ..

for the clean looks,and because i think they would look dirty with the upcoming mugen visors and tint ..

Better to paint them in honda ( will cost like 2x ) or in some body shop ..

is it worth it to pay like 500$ for honda to paint my handles ?

when i bought my door handles they already come painted. maybe they have them that way over there.

Umm, I would just get it at the body shop. I doubt they'd do a worse job than Honda.

They dont .. all they sell is the black handles ..

I would let a body shop paint them,but im afraid that the color might differ ?!

well if its wrong they should fix it. plus honda doesnt paint them they use a body shop.

^ Most likely the paint job from Honda is outsourced.
There are only a few dealership's I know of that actually run their own body shops.

the dealerships over here dont have any paint shops to do it in so they use a body shop instead.

Even if the dealer had a paint shop, they'd still be using the same paint code as a body shop. Both would need to do a paint blend to have it match perfectly with your car, and the dealership won't do any better of a job. So I'd take it to a body shop.

Insurance gives you a list of their body shop associations.
If you prefer, you can go to a body shop but they must approve of it.

Ooh its different here ...

Insurance gives you a paper which lists the damage of you car and in pics ..

then you take it to honda .. and they fix/paint/replace the parts ..

all in honda .. not other body shops ..

so what im saying ..honda got the actual "honda" paint(exact the same as my car's paint) .. so if they paint the handles they will match the color of the car and the paint will not fade .. cause its original ..

does this make any sense ?

personally I think that when you wil get your tints, and mugen visors the door handels will match, and it will look good.
Just save those $500 and get something else for the car, at least that is what I would have done if I was you!
Is your car DX?because over here only DX handels come in black.

I think thats what i will do ..

will see if they look good later,then decide

its called Lxi here .. it has no options at all (no rims/sun roof/color matched handles/leather) ...

if i got the full option model .. i wouldnt be able to do any mods ( limited cash) ... so i prefer the mods on the options that everyone already have

could be. Honda has all the right colors for the cars I think. I would go with honda. Why are your handles black anyway?

just get the right paint from honda for a body shop and it should work out nicely and alot cheaper..
