Check out bluebatmobile.net. He makes a vinyl overlay for the tail lights. Product is top notch, relatively inexpensive and not very difficult IMO to put on.

Go out and get a can of Night Shade. I used that on the taillights of my NHBP and it looks great. Easy and Cheap! Quality looks pretty decent as well. I tried it for the first time and it worked out great! Just remember to clean taillights with rubbing alcohol before you apply. Spray about a foot away, and one coat every 10-15min until desired darkness of tint. When the sun hits my taillights you can just see them shine through barely, but in the shade.. not a chance. When you put your lights on at night, you'll never be able to tell they are tinted! Its a good thing, not a bad thing.
