tint on leased car ?

My bro's going to get an si, and he's looking at a lease special for 2 years ....

he wanted to check if putting tints on a leased car was a good idea ? would the dealer take it back with the tint without any problem, or if he removed the tint when giving it back, would they even notice ???

some dealers would probably outsource getting tint done for him and add the cost into the lease

I'm not 100% sure, but if the car is leased it isn't legally yours so you aren't allowed to do anything to it unless you receive permission from the dealer.

You can probably tint it and remove later once you return the car.

My dad manages a honda dealer and theres nothing wrong with tinting the windows after and bring it back w/ or w/o the tint. The only problem your going to run into is if the tint is put on the car by Honda and you remove it. THEN you will have a problem on your hands. If its dones afterwards, aslong as the job is decent they'll accept it no questions asked. If its horrible, then uhh.. no! Theres also nothing wrong with throwing money into a leased car, it's just best that you don't do any major upgrades such as turbo/ supercharger as it will void warrenty on the engine. Bodykits/skirting unless its the Factory kit. Things such as Added: Sunroof, Tint, Leather, Navi, Heated seats you mayyyyy get a small cheque for it upon return. Usually you don't but sometimes you might! It usually depends whether the customer decides to buy or lease another car at that moment in time. Hondas more then happy if you put money into Added Factory parts, aslong as they aren't aftermarket. Boosts the cost of it in the used carlot and it didn't even cost the dealer anything! You would be suprised how many catback exhausts just get changed by the dealer to the factory ones after a lease and then get thrown in the dumpster! Brings a tear to my eye...

My car is leased and i tinted the windows... shouldn't be a problem, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't even notice and even if they did, they would not cause any problems since you are "upgrading" the car using your money...
