Help CF hood install.

I got my hood in today and have started to install it.
How much should you have to modify to install a hood?
so far I pulled the radiator frame cover off and need to pull the hood body bumper stops off to get it close to fitting. then the radiator suport hits the hood before it fits right. The hood is VIS Terminator Style for a 2 door.

This is my first go with CF so I am not saying VIS is good, I think the style is more the problem. I might have to call them about how bad the fit is.

Pics.

The part I had to pull for it to fit. Would not go on with this on at all.

The best it would close with that part still in (would not latch at all)

The part of the frame it hits. both sides...

The gap I don't like. Hard to get a pic of.

The over all look.

i too have a seibon. but it took me and a buddy about 2hrs to install it properly. but we are both real anal about everything so everything had to fit just right. just remember that you have the four bolts, the rubber bumpers, and the latch that you can adjust to get proper fitment. im sure the hood is fine, it just might need a little adjusting. it helps to have another pair of hands. good luck

I'm intersted in the quality of the CF hoods, what has been the downside to having the CF hood? For example: clear peeling off or fading/discoloration, or craking easy from rock chips---- How durable is the product? and how long have you had it on?

on ur radiator support cover take off the rubber stoppers....they are pointless......the ones that are acutally on your rad. supp are for adjustments.......moving the latch can change alot of things..u can make a lot of adjustments with just the latch.......looks like u need to put ur latch up higher this will pull the hood down some n it should lock

Wait so did you fix the Gap on the VIS? or get a Seibon. I have a VIS and it has a similar problem as you can see in the pic.

yeah looks like you need to pull it toward the front of the car and it should set in nicely

I didn't even notice that, I thought it was more bent or at the wrong angle but it seems just a little to far back. How can I adjust it to pull it forward a bit. Is it done where the hood is bolted on? or at the latch.

if its anything like my hood on my GMC the holes that the bolts go in should be oval. and bolts go into that. so just loosen the bolts up and pull it forward then tighten back up. then the same for the other side
