You cant just remove the fog light area. You would have to cut it out which would permanently leave you with a whole there unless you got a new front bumper. Its a solid piece.

It can probably be done, I dont know how nice it will look but its not too hard to do, the bumper is all one piece of plastic so all you would have to do is cut out what you dont want. Heres a pic so you can see the back, its from last week when I installed my fogs.

A user on here cut the area completely out to install a grill in them but they didnt fit with the HFP lip so he had to take the grill out. Its basically just an empty spot now. I'll see if I can conjure up a picture of his.

I haven't done it myself but I would think it would be easily done. Just cut the area out and your set.

This is his car, but its prior to him having the front lip so the grill is in the foglight area. Just picture it without the grill.

yea im going to try to when i take off my bumper to clean my cai air filter... the only thing i am worried about is that my filter is right behind the driver side fog light so if i remove the fog light peice, i run a greater chance of hydrolocking when driving in heavy rain...

I wouldnt do it. Sometimes it rains a lot and the water gets deep at some area's when it rains.
