Awesome DIY man. I agree with you, I don't think JDM emblems would look good on Atomic Blue; colour clash. Quick question, would the same paint used for the grille work on the emblem too? It probably would have to take some sanding down maybe for primer.
Thanks for the colour codes aswell bro :P

OMG. Great job. I need to do this too. I think JDM Emblems would look good on ABM. If it looks good on Fiji, why not us?

Yeah, any major automotive store should have it. Not sure about the touch-up paint. My touch up paint matches perfectly, which is why my original plan was to use that paint and airbrush it onto the grille, but I was too afraid of ruining my airbrush with non-water-based paint.
In the end, I would be willing to bet that the touch-up paint is probably more accurate on average than colour-matched paint from a shop.

Yeah, that paint will work on basically anything. Just sand lightly, use a good primer... you can also use an adhesion promoter first if you're really in doubt. I've never used a promoter before, so I can't really say much about them.

Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the JDM badges on Fiji either To each his own though... if you like it, do it! You might even be the first for JDM badges on Atomic Blue. Unless someone can vouch for that???

I'm not sure on brand names unfortunately.... I just called NAPA and asked for a can of colour-matched paint.
It stinks like a bastard just like the touch-up paint, so I imagine the paint is the same base.

just a quick question, are you able to take the regular dx/lx/ex grill apart like the si one and paint that the color of the car? or is it all one piece?

I'm pretty sure it's one piece, with the exception of the h-badge. That should still come off.

Good work! I think one of the worse features with the R18 coupes is its grille. Why anyone thought of doing that to a car that already has a good grille on its higher trim is beyond me. Your grille looks better than the stock grille with the bottom portion painted gloss black.

No not yet unfortunately... I was in Quebec City last weekend, and I'm Ottawa -bound this weekend. I don't think there's anything major going on next weekend so hopefully then

And thanks Minh!
