Yes, there are actually two tow hooks up front, (one on each side) but I would not use them to "tow" my car. They are there for the boat ride from Japan, to tie the cars down to the deck of the ship. If I had to tow my car, I would use the rear hook.

They are mounted to the frame under the car, I will take some pic next time I put my car on the lift, but tow hooks would most def. not stick out like on other cars seeing that they are so far under the car.

who the hell told you that???? usdm civics are assembled in canada.

as for putting an aftermarket towhook on the front, you would have to attach it somewhere other than the factory tow hooks because of their location.....they are located pretty far under the front of the car, kind of between the front wheels.

I am a dealer and all Honda's, built in Japan or North America have tow hooks for this purpose. That is why they have tow hooks in the first place, they are not on there to tow the car with.

Hes referring to when you say "the Boat ride from Japan" Which isnt correct because like he mentioned they are built in Canada etc....so there is NO BOAT ride.

for the track, ease of towing your car in case of an accident and to pull your car away without having to locate the hook under the car, it basically extends it..

the one with the TW si, it looks as though that tow hook you used was the one for the front, that does not look right at all.
the one's for the rear curve up and aren't sticking out so blatantly like that.

interesting. I never knew it made a difference?

I've seen many RSX's with the front tow hook, but they had it very cleanly installed. There was a slot cut into the bumper and it stuck out just enough.

You are correct. The one for the rear curves up and the one for the front is straight.
