To Wing or Not To Wing?
Hello. I'm gonna be getting an 08 LX coupe in Atomic Blue in March. I'll be putting on a Raven Style Duraflex body kit, MB1 style fenders, a CF hood, projector headlights with 8000K HIDs, Tails, auto Lambo style door kit, 18" wheels and tinting the windows.
My question is to you, should i throw a wing on there. i was thinking the Acura RSX Type R style wing. what do yas think would flow good on there or if i should leave it wingless. let me know thanks. |

I don't think a high rise spoiler looks very nice on the coupe. I think our cars look too bubbly for it to flow nice. Here's an example of how it'd look: zSpeedzKwy 's TW FG1

no thank you for the si. im looking for better gas mileage and to put together a show car. besides i hate driving stick. im too lazy for it and dont need to go faster than 70-90 which the lx is quite capable of and i am not going to be racing. anyways back on topic.
i kinda like that wing in the link you provided. its gonna be a tough decision. |

i will be doing a CAI and exhaust. other than than i will dress up the engine area. and maybe some day down the road after the warranty is up i will throw in a turbo. my neon had only a CAI and Exhaust on it for engine mods and i won plenty of shows with it.
To each his own. im out of the speed stage. im fine with looking good in your rearview mirror. and didnt you read where i typed i am not going to be racing around in this car. i am mature. no one will have a reason to be surprised off the line. |

I think it will look better with a wing than without. I would recommend a drag spoiler or some sort of lip spoiler; I don't think a large GT style wing will look right. While the rest of the car is low slung and flowing there would be a giant appendage sticking up from the truck. I think maintaining a smooth flow will be key.

I won't critique your mods, but with the stuff you have, it'd be awkward to not have a spoiler or wing on it. If anything, see if the Mugen DC5 wing will fit on it.
If you're going to make a "show car", you might as well get a retrofit. PnP HIDs probably won't cut the mustard anymore. Go crazy on the retro. Like a custom TL set-up. |
