thank you and for those of you who need photographic proof on an 8th gen here it is. as you can see, the airbag is from the top and there is a gap between the airbag and the a-pillar

even though there is not an airbag there, in case of an accident would you want to take the chance? it just doesn't seem safe...

if you must have extra guages look into this...imo it seems safer and less rice...just my .02

what risk? the airbags are not there so it has no reason to pop off, and even if it did it would pose the same risk as the stock a-pillar

I think its kinda like the tissues on the rear deck...safe sure...in a major accident, I wouldn't want it flying at me...

The Airbag is not in the pillar i saw a pic here once where the guy opened it up and there was nothing but steel.
And why the hell would you want a hard plastic piece flying at your face if they do go off, they are on top

wel..for some reason im thinking the sedans and coupes are gonna be different on this one? because the SRS thats molded into the pillars means its got an airbag in it. they dont put the SRS on the dash in a corner do they?

A story was on the news a couple months ago where this girl lost her eye... literally, in an accident because the airbag popped off the sun visor and shot it at her face. They said the models affected were the current generation Mitsubishi Eclipse and Crysler Sebring. Imagine a piller gage shot at your face, ouch.
