GTech Pro Tesla Location?

I have an original 1994-2001 GTech Pro Tesla. I want to mount it around where the AJP guys mounted their gauges above the shifter area, but I'm not sure how. Is there some material I can put there so I can get the suction cup to stick to it? Thanks in advance.
