Paint: Galaxy Gray vs. Alabaster Silver -> dirt, scratches, etc.
I've been leaning toward a Galaxy Gray EX sedan. I am curious to how the gray shows dirt, scratches, swirl marks, chips, etc....
I know silver is one of the best colors to hide the above. I really like the galaxy gray more than silver, but like both none the less. White is the best looking IMO, but can't deal with the ivory interior. Thanks for any opinions on the 2 colors |

Dirt and dust will be noticeable if you look closely on the GG. On the silver it's definitely a lot harder to notice. I'm sure you can imagine what the dust looks like on the GG, just imagine the white-ish layer of dust and dirt you see on black cars and slap it on the GG. It does blend in very well and is not noticeable from a distance. But if you walk up to the car you can definitely see it.
However, my GG has a ton of dirt n dust on the hood and is super noticeable, looks like someone just keyed the car (scared the crap outta me the first time I saw it), looks like a buncha wavey lines going vertically from the windshield to the grill. I've got about 2-3 scratches on my back bumper and it's not noticeable unless you look real close. To me, GG is still very easy to maintain. Hides dirt and dust really well, can't notice it until you get real close to the car. |

I agree GG def. hides chips well you have to be right on top of the car and looking for chips... About the scratches I park in the farthest parking spot from where I'm going so no one dings my car so there's no scratches that I know about... The dirt and dust blends pretty good imo again when close to the car you can see all the dust and dirty spots. I too could not deal with the ivory interior just not me. Overall I think that GG is the best color with Grey interior :)

) so there might be rock chips in the front, but I'm not sure. Windshield, definitely not though. |

I would, except I hate ivory too. I was in a pretty similar situation I suppose, I originally wanted black or white myself as well, but when I walked into the dealership and saw this vanilla-tan-dirt white- kinda thing inside the car and all I said was NEXT! I didn't bother looking at silver because the last thing I wanted was to have someone like my mom or dad drive up next to me in their silver camry giving me a thumbs up on my color choice. I didn't want Atomic Blue because it's just a bit dull to me. At the time, the Royal Blue Pearl and Rallye Red for the non Si's weren't out yet so that pretty much left me with GG. It's a pretty unique color and though I'd prefer a black interior, grey was close enough. It's a bit more brown than gray, but as you can see I didn't really have much of a choice.
I had no regrets buying GG, until I heard about black seat covers to compensate for the ivory interior I can probably be expecting quite a bashing from my comments but to me every color had a flaw, either the exterior color itself or the interior. To me, GG's flaws were the most bearable.Last edited by OblivionJin; 04-23-2006 at 05:40 AM. |

[quote=Hybrid93Hatch]According to www.honda.com all silver non Si's come with gray interior. The Si is the only one with black interior. The GG Si also comes with black interior.
They may say it's gray but if it really is gray, it's a very very dark gray because I always thought it was actually black. Alabaster Silver EX Coupe has a very dark interior which I love. |

edit: i think the rearview mirror frame is black?black seatcovers could look classy in the ivory interior and bring out the other black elements I mentioned. Or, if you're anal about doing away with the ivory altogether, it is probably not such a huge expense to start ordering a few parts and replace the door panels, console compartment, carpeting (or just get black all-weather mats), trunk/gas release and other beige parts with the black ones. I have seen some of these parts on ebay. It might be one of the easier and less expensive mods to do yourself. I wouldn't be that obsessive about swapping out everything, but it could be done. |

Available Colors are BEIGE, GRAY, CHARCOAL, RED, YELLOW, ROYAL BLUE, AND BLACK." I'm trying to envision the black trim with beige covers. Probably look great in the ivory interior. Too bad I like it so much as is, or I'd probably pull the trigger on a pair. |
