So...I was rear-bumped today...
So, I got rear-ended at a stoplight today. The guy in an 06 Accord ran into me, well, more like bumped into me, since he said he just took his foot off the gas and smacked into me. Anyway, my car is now sporting two marks from his front license plate screws, and some scratches where the plate cover was...
...but, the good news is that no apparent frame damage was caused. Everything is still aligned, and the trunk still pops. It's also located ONLY on the HFP rear skirt. So, I need to find a rear skirt for a good price. Can anyone point me in the right direction. College Hills has it at 300+ just for the rear, maybe an 8th discount? Will take pics tomorrow morning. Gah, this sucks! Well, at least I will have the chance to paint the bottom plastic gloss-black now... ...but I just Zaino'd the entire car this past Friday!

Here's some advice for everyone, no matter how small the damage looks always fill out a police report within 24-48 hours (depending on your state/province). If you don't fill it out within the time frame and then find out later that the damage is worse you can get screwed over.
It's just a good way to have documented proof that the person hit you. |

I got hit once and got $500 out of him, then once with the same car i did what he did, but i ran into a SUV and i didnt even reach the suv's rear bumper, i got snaged on the trailer hitch and it pushed in my rad support messed up my hood and front bumper, it was about 1g in damage and the lady felt sorry for me and let me go, this was ok since the only damage was to my car but IMO you should have got some money up front. now its going to cost you some bucks, like ~$800 im guessing. isurance would be perfect for this cuz its not your fault at all...

How will it cost him $800 if all thats damaged is the rear HFP lip? You can buy a new one for $322 and they come painted. |
