Adjustable Armrest In Si's?

Not sure if this has been mentioned/asked before. Does anyone know why the center console compartment/armrest slides forward? What purpose does it serve? Not sure if this is the same w/ the non-Si models.

LOL, so you can rest you elbow on it when forward. Then slide it back when you want to put you big slurpie in there.

Just different posistions for different people. Some people have longer arms than others, some have shorter. I do believe all the models do it though. It does in my EX at least.

r u serious! it is 4 different seating options . some people sit closer to the steering wheel, so they also get a longer arm rest...and yes all civics come w/ this feature.

It slides back and forth so you have something to mess with while waiting for your girlfriend.

Its there for your elbow to rest on it. And it moves forward for even weight distribution.
