Question for Carbon Fiber Hood/trunk owners

Looking to get a Seibon Carbon fiber hood and trunk for my 06 EX. Question, winter is coming, i want to keep the hood and trunk on during the winter, but how much damage will i be doing by exposing it to snow and salt?? Also, how long do they last?? Any help is appreciated.

as long as you keep the hood and trunk clean regularly..eg. parking in garage anf cleaning off all the snow and salt...your pretty good

i have a c/f hood and trunk on my asm si coupe but can't help you since it doesn't snow here in Oahu, Hawaii... however what i can say is WAX it once a week and do not polish!

It comes with a shitty clear coat from the factory. It's not necessary, but recommended by most people who have had it done. If you get it re-cleared, you're also increasing the life of the CF, because it tends to fade slower.

I second strCIVIC, wax it constantly. It basically acts like sunscreen for your CF.
