Home Made Video Camera Mount (lots of pics)

Had some free time today at work so I made a camera mount for my new rca small wonder my wife bought me for my birthday. Sample video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfORIAfITJo the video is very shaky. I am going to try a few different things to try and make it more solid will post a new video if I can get it more stable.

EDIT: New test much more stable, rubber bands did the trick, looks a little silly but its cheap :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpKwNAEAfiA

^^^ as you can see its just a piece of plate with 3 holes drilled in it. It slips over the 2 rods on the head rest and the camera bolts to the plate. Any goon with a piece of metal and a drill press can make one.

It fits very snugly to the headrest and is hard to put on or take off. I have it on the back of the head rest so that the mount can say on the head rest at all times and when I want to use it all I have to do is flip the head rest. I made one short video and it was very shaky I think this is due to the fact that the camera stands upright and the lens is far from the base. I think running a large rubber band around the camera and the head rest will solve this issue. I will post a vid in this thread as soon as I take care of the shakiness. Questions?

Interesting choice of placement!

I made mine so the passenger can go along for the ride without any safety issues to their head or blockage.

yeah yours seems much more "mount like" Mine is just for solo runs and track days. I plan on leaving it on at all times and just flipping the head rest back the right way when I have passengers.
