if i'm so "rice" why am i on this flyer?

again.. it's a show car. you can't win trophies with a lip kit, wheels, and a drop. times have changed and so have the standards. the bar has been raised, and the only way to be recognized is to do something different. but thank you guys for your honest feedback. i love it

You know what, a lot of cars in the rice thread get trophies.

The bar hasn't been raised, it's been dropped low. As opposed to spending time and money setting up a car for performance, you have 20 yr-olds indiscriminately slapping on all-show-no-go parts on their car, with the illusion of going fast. Really, what did you do that was unique? Put on a body kit like the rest of the people do? New rims? Hood? People have been slapping that stuff on cars for years.

So are your really doing something different? As though noone else slaps on drag-inducing chunks of plastic on their car at those shows? Since you seem fond of trashing lips, you know some lips actually--gasp--provide aerodynamic benefits. And yes, ebay headlights are very unique--just like all the other "show cars" that have $150 ebay headlights.

Unique would be putting in a Chaparral blower. Unique is not doing what every other "show car" does.

Exactly.

Being on the cover of a HIN flyer doesn't make you exempt from the fact.

I'll be the guy at HIN that makes the vomit noises when I walk by your car.

omg people leave him alone

yes his car is unique, no his headlights arent ebay projectors. what would be the point of slapping a blower on there when he doesnt race it? and if its not unique because other people have wide body kits, why would it be unique if he put a blower on it? noone else has put a blower on their car?

I really don't hate this car, though. it is unique in some ways. at least he didn't slap a giant wing on it and call it done!

I don't really think Si_turbo needs anyone to defend him. he knew full well that some people were going to hate what he made before he did it, and he did it anyway. I'd HOPE that he's secure enough not to let the opinions of others bug him too much.

If I do something knowing that some people are going to hate it before I do it, and that others will like it, I generally don't worry about whatever the people who are going to hate it think. I already know they're going to hate it, why should I worry?

Most of you guys on here have the worse definition for rice ever. A lot of you guys abuse it way too much. It's not my cup of tea but I wouldn't call his car rice. If you can't tell the difference between the picture below and his car, I'm sorry but you're blind.
