CF hood owners PLEASE HELP!!!

I've had my VIS OEM CF hood on for about 2000 miles and this happened

VIDEO OF HOOD DENTS

- I DO NOT track my car
- I WAS NOT in a rockslide
- NO accidents (got this hood to replace a damaged stock hood)

In person there are about 20 dents that are visable and this is getting worse and worse by the day. Is this normal for all CF hoods or did I just get a dud? I called VIS and they told me to take a picture so I instead made a video and sent it to them. The guy seemed like he was cool about it and is trying to help me out but I'm not happy that a $500 dollar hood dents like this in 2000 miles of normal driving.

*note this didn't happen suddenly. The dents began appearing gradually which means that its going to get worse =[

*UPDATE 8/16*

I went down to VIS in Rowland Heights and they gave me a new hood! Very nice guys down there. They quickly saw that the dents were not normal and gave me a new version that supposedly fixed the "glue" problem. The warehouse manager seemed to recognize the problem and said that it was a problem that occured a few years back and I must have got the "lucky" hood. I didn't pay a single extra cent and they even helped me install my hood and adjusted my latch on my car (which i didn't even know was possible).

The hood itself looks different. The lines in the CF are much more straighter and the back of the hood seems to be manufactured differently. I'll update this one more time in a while after seeing if this one dents under the same conditions

do you think maybe the heat from the engine is doing it?

i have completely stock engine. besides, the hood looks like its going IN. Maybe the engine warms the hood an makes it softer or something? But then again 1chin isn't having any problems with his seibon. And supposedly seibon and VIS share the same factory...

About the dents.

I dont know about that.

But..... My friend has a carbon fiber hood for along time now, and sure enough he has dent looking markings on the Seibon Hood that he has, but it isnt dents.

But yes, we noticed that on his car a week or two ago too.

Cats? Or Rats?

Possibility?

But the better possibility is Cats, Or Heat that makes those markings.

well as for animals, I keep my car garaged and i have no pets.... if it was from animals, that would mean there are rats.... inside.. my garage...

heat could do it but is SoCal that much hotter to turn a CF hood into a sheet of butter?

If it's denting from heat then the underside of the hood should be dented too. OP should check that.

WTF are you talking about...your going to tell me that the weight of a cat or a rat can dent a cf/fiberglass hood? seriously...thats one of the dumber things ive ever heard.

I know that most CF hoods are CF over a fiberglass frame. What I'm asking if it is just a fiberglass hood with a layer of cf over it for show. I've never seen a CF hood do that before.
