Honda and their Tint Policy

So I couldn't take the screech anymore. When I roll down the driver side window it made a screech noise. I took it to Honda and they said it's not covered under my warranty (car's only 5 months old) bc of the tint. They claim it's the tint that's making the noise and said they'd "lube" the window sill part but thats all.

Anyone else having this problem?

I had the same thing happen to me. It was an easy fix. There are two pieces of rubber along the inside of your window. One that you can see, and another one out of sight. All that happened was, the little piece of rubber got pushed down during your tint, and it didn't get pushed up when you did your first initial roll down/up. Take it to a tinting place and ask them if they could use their tool to slide it along the inside of your window. I would suggest doing it yourself, with a knife, however; just be careful not to scratch your tint. Good luck.
