^ I bought a civic because I was told that you shouldn't expect that in a Civic.
I hate that justification as to why we're the only Honda with shit plastics and wearing fabrics.

It's just poor fitment. @ Special Ringpop - You should've researched cars more if you thought the civic was going to be built like a solid, luxury car. A civic is a cheap car that offers a lot for the money. Nothing more. To keep the prices cheap / profits high, they have to skimp on some things. Unfortunately for us, that was the interior. At least it wasn't the motor, drive train, etc etc right? |

How does everyone assume that it is a flaw? Just because you dont like it doesn't mean it wasn't intended to be that way. Maybe they have some deep thoughout reason why it was done that way. And don't try to compare something like that to the "same" thing on a BMW. They aren't the same car.

I really resent the logic that says "This is a Civic. Live with the flaws."
The Civic has been a constant high seller because of Honda's irrefutable quality and concern with even one of its cheapest cars. They've gone far and beyond attempting to make the Civic not just another boring economy car. I myself bought the Civic because it offered (and standard) equipment that the competition required you to pay for, or didn't even offer at all. What I don't understand is the logic that people say "You bought a Civic, it's not a luxury car." I don't expect a luxury car. I don't expect heated and air conditioned perforated leather seats. I don't expect the amenities found on a luxury car, but I do expect the car to live up to its reputation. In almost every respect, the new Civic lives up to its reputation, except in interior/paint quality. Whether this was to cut corners and save money and put the money elsewhere, I don't know, but I do have a problem with the Civic's interior quality being less than the Fit's, which starts considerably less than the Civic. I do not expect on a $20,000 car to have the seats wearing after less than a year, even with meticulous care, nor the plastics to scratch irreparably from a cardboard pizza box. It may not be a BMW, but it is a Civic, and I expected more from Honda, especially this being my first (and potentially last) Honda vehicle.

I owned a bmw, conquest tsi, corvette, and a jeep liberty. Every single car i had had power windows. This is the only car that the door panels move when u put the window up and down., and quite noticable. I think its a major flaw and the car should be recalled for it.
