Si Grill on LX/DX/EX Sedan!

To start off i have a 06 LX sedan. i ordered the 07 Si sedan front grille and backing for it.
This is my own DIY on how to do it! haha
it started off with me wanting to just change the front grill but i already painted a bunch of things in the font RED and got bashed on this forum so im going to change it back . the front chrome H emblem i did not like going with my Galaxy Gray grill so i painted it black.(it was already ruined so if it doesnt look good im going to order a new one).

It was raining like crazy and i skipped class so decided to mod my car.

This is the before pix

Now Pop out the plastic screw with a Flathead Screwdriver

Pop out the screw in the middle first with a flathead then pop out the outer most ring

Take these 2 screws out with this tool *dont know the name

now this flap that the grill is on can be BENT forward and you must take out the screws behind the chrome peice. this is also i think the hardest part because the screws are small and you have to bend the grill forward to get to it.

this is what is behind the chrome grill once the screws are taken out. you must take these screws and put them on the new Si sedan grill

Oh the Difference!

Flip out the back of the chrome grill remove 1 screw and the H emblem should pop out

Messed up H emblem. decided to go black and if it doesnt look good buy a new one. It is red in the middle because i decided to spray paint it because i am a cheap ricer and i wanted it to be red lol!

done. 4 coats. kinda cheap and rice but whatever

Test fit. PERFECT!

Back in Black

Now pop the H emblem in the new grill. the 4 new screws off of the chrome should be on the si grille now and just put it back on the car. flip up the flap of the grille and get behind there and screw the 4 screws in.

AEM CHECK ENGINE LIGHT MACHINE

once done it should look like this.

Now I am officially all done. Takes about 20-40 minutes only. please feel free to sticky or anything. any questions or anything let me know. I think it looks alot better and i hope you all think the same!
Enjoy

So, you never actually removed the bumper right? You kind of flexed the grill out and removed some bolts that were holding the chrome grill in?

exactly. i just bent it forward and got a small wrench behind it and loosened it up. then it was easy to remove with my fingers.

Do you still have that extra backing piece from the Si grill? I'm going to need to find a way to get my hands on a grill since I'm in Canada.

I believe that bracket is just the lower part of the Si grill. If you notice carefully, the chrome grill only has an upper portion, but the Si grill has an upper and lower portion.

i think it was like 35 for part number 14 which is the grill but on www.hondapartsdeals.com it comes with part 11 which is the backing for the sedan. coupes only need part 14 and sedans need part 11. plus 5 screws for 15 dollars which is a rip.

Use the same screws and IIRC, it's more than 5.
