Comptech Short Shifter - Void warranty / reversible?

To those with the Comptech SS - do you know if this would void the warranty? Also, is it reversible (meaning can you put it back to stock form)?

Thanks, I've heard good things about the SS but I'm a little skeptical.

Research a little bit. The ss is just an add on peice to the stock shifter. It can be removed.

Welcome to the Ocho!

I have the same question...
about 2 months ago I had a problem with my transmission and it would get locked in 5th and I couldn't do anything. I moved it to neutral, but no left and right movement.
A couple other members here have had a similar problem.

How did I fix it? I brought it to Honda and asked if they could check it.
the first question was: Do you have any aftermarket parts on the car that affects the transmission such as a short shifter? I said no and asked if it affected the warranty, and they said yes.

So the warranty situation.. If something f's up in your transmission and you have the SS, then I'm almost 100% positive they wont fix it for free.

But i wanna know if we can take it out.

you can istall and remove ina matter of minutes. the short shifter will not void your warranty because it doesnt alter anything in the transsmission.

sounds like a way for them to get out of fixing it. I guess i just dont know much, but making the throw a little shorter just doesnt seem like something that would hurt anything.

if you want to be safe have acura/honda dealership install it for you. you probly would get charge an hour of labor. this way it will be covered by the warranty still. Comptech is recognized by honda/acura. I just ordered mine and ill be doing the install myself
