Comptech Short Shifter - Void warranty / reversible?
To those with the Comptech SS - do you know if this would void the warranty? Also, is it reversible (meaning can you put it back to stock form)?
Thanks, I've heard good things about the SS but I'm a little skeptical. |

I have the same question...
about 2 months ago I had a problem with my transmission and it would get locked in 5th and I couldn't do anything. I moved it to neutral, but no left and right movement. A couple other members here have had a similar problem. How did I fix it? I brought it to Honda and asked if they could check it. the first question was: Do you have any aftermarket parts on the car that affects the transmission such as a short shifter? I said no and asked if it affected the warranty, and they said yes. So the warranty situation.. If something f's up in your transmission and you have the SS, then I'm almost 100% positive they wont fix it for free. But i wanna know if we can take it out. |

if you want to be safe have acura/honda dealership install it for you. you probly would get charge an hour of labor. this way it will be covered by the warranty still. Comptech is recognized by honda/acura. I just ordered mine and ill be doing the install myself
